What is PAC 18%?
Poly Aluminium Chloride, commonly known as PAC 18%, is a chemical used in the water treatment industry as a coagulant.
A clear, light yellow liquid, Poly Aluminium Chloride comes in two concentrations, 10% and 18%. Its primary use is to purify drinking water as it has a wide pH range and minimises the need to add other chemicals into the production, lowering operating costs.

Storage and handling
Several materials cannot come into contact with Poly Aluminium Chloride: unalloyed steel, galvanized surfaces, materials not resistant to acid, Copper, Aluminium and Iron. Categorised as a category 1, the 18% concentration of Poly Aluminium Chloride may also be corrosive to other metals not mentioned.
This product will irritate the skin with repeated and prolonged contact, and can also cause serious damage to the eyes if safety goggles and protection are not worn.
