Flocculants and Polymers

ETP Chemicals are the distribution partner for Europe’s leading flocculant manufacturer and stock the following range at our Huddersfield depot.

What are flocculants?

Wastewater flocculants are used to facilitate the process of flocculation, where solids in solution aggregate into larger clumps or “flocs” that can then be easily removed by sedimentation, filtration, settlement or aeration. Flocculation is an important step in wastewater treatment processes, especially for removing suspended solids, organic matter, and other impurities from both industrial and municipal wastewater.

Dewatering flocculants are a specific type of flocculant used in the dewatering process of sludge, slurry, or other waste materials in various industries, such as wastewater treatment, mining, and construction. The primary goal of these flocculants is to reduce total sludge volume by removing as much water as possible, resulting in a more concentrated solid material (cake) that can be disposed of.

ETP Chemicals are the distribution partner for Europe’s leading flocculant manufacturer and stock the following range at our Huddersfield depot:

  • EPAMs (emulsion polymers) in both anionic and cationic charges suitable for a range of applications. These products are available in 25kg drums and 1000 litre IBC’s
  • DPAMs (powder polymers) in both anionic and cationic charges suitable for a range of applications. These products are available in 25kg bags and 750kg big bags.

Our technical team are on hand to assist with optimising the application of our flocculants and can provide in-depth testing to find the most effective flocculant. ETP Chemicals can also analyse other suppliers’ flocculants to find our exact equivalent.
