Antifoams

Antifoams are chemical agents used to reduce or eliminate foam formation in industrial processes, including those involved in effluent treatment.

What are antifoams?

Silicone-based Antifoams:

  • These are the most commonly used in effluent treatment because they are highly effective.

Non-Silicone Antifoams:

  • These include a variety of oils, fatty acids, or alcohols. They are typically used in processes where silicones may not be appropriate, such as in food and beverage industries.

Packaging options: 25kg drums and 1000 litre IBC’s

ETP Chemicals store various types of silicone and non-silicone-based antifoams at our Huddersfield site.
